BiographyHistory

Meader graduated with a Diploma in Film Making from the Swinburne Film and Television School in 1990. He worked with Dean Semler (Academy Award winner for Dances With Wolves) and Andrew Lesnie (Academy Award for The Lord Of The Rings) on Kangaroo Kid. Meader also acted with the British actors Martin Shaw and Timothy West and in 1996 was one of the producers of Heartbreak House, the George Bernard Shaw play starring Donald Pleasance

Meader was an accomplished musician with wide international experience in choral work. He conducted singing workshops for the community and corporate organisations in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Margaret River, Geraldton), the United Kingdom (London, Chester, Birmingham), Canada (Ottawa and Vancouver) and the United States (Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Diego & the Berkshires). He was also the Musical Director of four community choirs (called Sing From The Heart) and a semi professional choir called The Real Sing, a 26 voice ensemble

Meader also worked for Millennium Kids, an Australian children's environmental organisation. In 2003, Millennium Kids commissioned him to write a children's theatre piece about greenhouse gas entitled, The Horses Who Saved the World. This play toured schools in Australia. In July 2003, Meader travelled to Indonesia with Millennium Kids to make a television documentary about children and the environment. The documentary is entitled Surabaya Dreaming.
