Producer/Director Frank Heimans was the Managing Director of Cinetel Production since 1976. He is an oral history producer, writer, interviewer and documentary filmmaker, and had recorded more than 940 oral history interviews and produced over fifty television documentaries. From 1991 to 1996 Heimans was the founding producer, writer, director and editor of the 'Australian Biography' series on SBS Television.

Heimans was also a member of Oral History Australia and the Professional Historians Association. In 2011 he was awarded the Hazel de Berg Award for excellence in oral history by Oral History Australia. (Source: Linkedin website)
