BiographyHistory

The Queensland Authors' and Artists' Association was formed in 1921 with Professor Stable, professor of English, The University of Queensland as the first President. Other foundation members included Arthur Hoey Davis, Mabel Forrest, T. W. Heney and Dr Cumbrae-Stewart. In 1956 the Association changed its name to the Fellowship of Australian Writers Queensland Section.
