BiographyHistory

Mary Stevens attended high school in Vienna and then took a business course. She worked as a secretary, translator, and in publicity for a film company. She continued to work for the same film company when she came to Australia. She started to write stories and articles shortly after arrival in Australia, to prove that her English was up to publication standard. One of her short stories won a Story of the Month prize from the Melbourne Sun.
