BiographyHistory

Gloria Moore was born of Indian and Anglo-Indian background. She has worked as a writer and teacher of creative writing. In the early 1990s she completed a doctoral thesis at the University of Melbourne. She has been a member of the Australian Society of Authors and the Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW), Victorian Branch. Her other published books include writing about her heritage in The Anglo-Indian Vision (a discussion on crosscultural relations, 1986) and Anglo Indians: The Best of Both Worlds [2001]. Moore also wrote I was a Stranger (1994) a history of nursing in Victorian hospitals.
