BiographyHistory

Duilio Giuliano Pinelli was born in Fivizzano, Massa Carrara, Italy. He arrived in Australia in 1970 and lived in Perth for several years as an official of the Italian Consulate. He has travelled the world as a diplomat, and lived for 30 years in Burma. His published works in Italy include Note Africane di un Milanese [The African Notes of a Milanese], Monsoon Thoughts, Songs of Life [Canti di Vita], You and I [Tu ed Io], Distant Memories [Ricordi Lontani] and Con Tyckhe, dalla Lunigiana all'Australia [With Tyckhe, from the Lunigiana to Australia] (2004). While in Australia, Pinelli wrote five books of poetry that were each published in Italy.
