Rudold Csepelyi was born in Köröshegy, Hungary and began writing in childhood but WW II disrupted both his university studies and his writing, to which he returned only in Australia. He has worked in a rubber factory, then as a public servant until his retirement. He has been active also in the cultural life of the Hungarian community in Australia, contributing to the Hungarian programs of Radio 2EA and Radio 3EA and founding an Hungarian literary society, which has organised regular literary evenings.
