Liz Jeneid holds a Diploma of Teaching and has been an Honorary Fellow at Sydney Kindergarten Teachers' College. She earned a Master of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong and has lectured there for a number of years. Her speciality is textiles, artist books, and three-dimensional studies, and her textile work has appeared in many exhibitions and collections.
Jeneid has travelled in Denmark, Poland, Turkey and the United States, and has worked in the area of community arts. Much of her artwork has explored the artist's sense of place.
Jeneid was Director of the Long Gallery from 1991-1997 and has curated numerous exhibitions over the course of her career. She has won several awards and grants, including a residency in Paris in 1994. Her textile work is part of the permanent collection in the Wollongong City Gallery in New South Wales.
In addition to her work as an artist, Jeneid has written poetry and books on handicraft, some of which are for children.
