Christine Pecket arrived in Australia with her family at the age of three. She developed poliomyelitis at the age of five, but refused to let her resulting physical disabilities rule her life. She gained an Honours Diploma in painting and over the years she has taught painting, modelling and pottery-making, established a pottery business, and moved to Sydney where she established a studio.
