BiographyHistory

Publisher Allen and Unwin describes Peter Olszewski as 'a former rock magazine editor, editor of Australian Playboy and People, creator of Nation Review's cult hero JJ McRoach, official Australian minder' to Dr Hunter S. Thompson and leader of the Australian Marijuana Party'. Olszewski was also part-owner and editor of Loose Licks (1975-1976). In 1980 he wrote A Salute to the Humble Yabby. Olszewski has worked as a radio broadcaster for English and American media networks. He has written for most major Australian publications and has also been a university lecturer in journalism, training journalists in Yangon Myanmar for the main English-language newspaper, the Myanmar Times. Olszewski has been living at Noosa, Queensland.
