BiographyHistory

The Poetry Society of Australia, founded by Imogen Whyse to encourage the study and enjoyment of poetry, began publishing a poetry journal, Prism, in its first year of existence. The Society subsequently published successor journals: Poetry Magazine between 1961 and 1970 and New Poetry between 1971 and 1982.
