BiographyHistory

South African by birth, G. W. Robinson refused to support apartheid by serving in the defence force as a conscript, and left for Europe in 1974. He came to Australia on a United Nations refugee passport. In 1994 he was awarded a writer's grant by Arts Tasmania.
