BiographyHistory

Blunden was a journalist, almost certainly the only Australian journalist to witness the battle of Stalingrad. His despatches were published in the Sydney Telegraph and syndicated in Britain and the United States. Two of his novels were based on his Russian wartime experiences. He also wrote books on the art of Norman Lindsay (q.v.) and a volume on the Impressionists. During the latter part of his career he worked for Time.
