BiographyHistory

James Picot was of mixed Channel Island and Parisian descent. He worked on farms in the Darling Downs, and later graduated in Arts at University of Queensland and then in theology. During World War II he was captured by the Japanese in Singapore, and died in a prison camp in Burma (later Myanmar) in 1944. His body of work includes short stories and a small volume of verse.
