BiographyHistory

Bryn Griffiths has been a British merchant navy seaman (1951-58), a journalist and critic, a broadcaster and a scriptwriter. He has also worked as a cultural adviser to the Western Australian Trades and Labour Council. During the 1960s two of his plays The Sailor (1967) and The Dream of Arthur (1968) were broadcast on BBC radio. In 1985 he was writer in residence to the Australian Merchant Navy.
