BiographyHistory

Catherine studied drama at Flinders University and has worked as an actor, writer and director for such companies as Troupe, Junction and Vitalstatistix Theatre Cos and for the ABC. She directed Anne Brookman's 'Wild About Work' with Junction Theatre, 1989 and in 1991 she worked as Artistic Director with Mainstreet Theatre. She had always wanted to write something for the lesbian community, and in 1989 she received a small grant from the SA Dept of the Arts to 'develop and workshop a script for a one woman show - exploring sex, sexuality and gender with specific reference to women and lesbians'. 'Just a Little Crooked Around the Edge' was the result of this. In 1996 she was appointed Artistic Director of Vitalstatistix, National Woman's Theatre.
