BiographyHistory

Fotini Epanomitis was born in Australia in the year her parents migrated from Greece. She has received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Master of Arts in Literature from Curtin University where later she was employed as a lecturer. She read from her work at both the Perth and Melbourne Writers' Festivals in 1993. Her magic realism writing has been compared with that of Isabel Allende. Epanomitis received a grant from the Australia Council allowing her to work on her second novel.
