BiographyHistory

In 1979 Madeleine was lecturer in creative writing, Colleges of Further Education and Sturt CAE. She was at one time President of the Fellowship of Australian Writers, and since 1994 has been State President of the FAW. As well as the work listed below she published a brief history of the McLaren Flat Methodist Church for their Centenary celebration in 1996.. As well as being a writer herself, she has been very active in editing and encouraging work by other writers, and has edited books by Vicky Brenton (qv), Dagmar Balcarek (qv) , Glen Stone, Jan Chew, Rose Bald and Dorie Loder, and illustrated Changing Moods by Kay Argent (qv). She was awarded an OAM for her contribution to writing.
