BiographyHistory

Kiernan has worked as a freelance journalist. He is also the author of Shutterbug Photography for Kids. In 2007 Kiernan was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and in 2011 he commenced kidney dialysis. The impact of illness on his life has been reflected in some of his writing since then and several of his illness narratives have won awards. [Source: A Soul for Australia, p. 318]
