BiographyHistory

Spider Henry (Ngarrguny) was born about 1920 and partly brought up by Hughie Henry, a white settler at Bellenden near Tully; he also became an expert on tribal customs and songs. He is the last remaining Gubi, or "wise man" of the Jirrbal people.
