BiographyHistory

Winifred Weir is a Classics graduate from the University of Sydney. She has taught in country secondary schools and has been active in community theatre and music groups. Her writing was encouraged by workshops conducted by Susan Hampton and Judith Beveridge (qq.v.). Weir has been involved with Youngstreet Poets, through the Rozelle Writers' Centre.
