The Sydney Push. The Iconic Yellow House. UBU Films. Oz Magazine. All were the launching pad for a new generation to challenge the conservative, stultified monoculture. Set in the context of the sexual revolution, Women's and Gay Liberation, Aboriginal Rights to Struggles, the anti-Vietnam war movement, hippies, drugs, psychedelic parties and Happenings, this book is Albie Thoms' definitive account of a major turning point in the cultural life of Australia.'
