BiographyHistory

Mather-Brown lived on the goldfields as a child and contracted poliomyelitis. He lived in the south west of Western Australia until 1954. Mather-Brown worked as a switchboard operator and has represented Australia in wheelchair sports. He was in the first team of disabled athletes to wear an Australian blazer and compete in an international event- the Stoke Mandeville Games, England, 1957.
