Simone Ulalka Tur is from the Antikirinya/Yankunytjatjara community north-west of South Australia in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) lands and resides in Adelaide. In early 2012 she became the Director of Yunggorendi, First Nations Centre for Higher Education and Research at Flinders University where she began working in 1998. She has published in the area of Indigenous Education and Indigenous Knowledge.
