BiographyHistory

Marcus Waters is a Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay/Gamilaroi man. He has worked in the public sector at both state and national levels. In 2003, he gained recognition as a creative writer for stage and screen writing, and was the inaugural winner of the AFTRS Macquarie Bank scholarship. In 2005 he was involved with the 'Footprints in Film' initiative with students at Loganlea State High School in Queensland. In 2012 Waters was working full time as an Associate Lecturer with Griffith University, Queensland.
