Paul China graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2003 with an honours degree in Film Studies. During this time he focused and excelled in scriptwriting, and was also a leading contributor to the Students Union newspaper. After penning numerous short stories, and completing his first novel, he moved to Australia and embarked upon a successful career in film journalism. As a senior writer for eminent publications in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth, China produced first-rate reviews, interviews, and news columns to readers nationwide. Along with his twin brother Benjamin, he formed the company China Brothers Productions in 2007. Consequently, his screenplays began generating interest in both Australia and the USA.
