BiographyHistory

Robert Leonard, a NSW teacher, was selected by the ABC in 1936 to collaborate on the writing of a radio play along with two other indiviudals with no previous experience in this field - these being fellow teacher Darrell Bruce (composer) and interior decorator, S. D. Douglas (writer). On 8 June that year the trio's completed work, the musical comedy Comes the Spring, was broadcast live on 2FC.
