Olwen Pryke has worked for the History Council of New South Wales, has taught history at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales, and has undertaken a number of historical consultancies. She has been employed in Research and Development at the State Library of New South Wales. Her doctoral research delineated a cultural history of Australia House, Australia's High Commission in London and was highly commended for the Serle Award (2008).
