BiographyHistory

'Glen Pickwick came from Queensland and began his apprenticeship [as a jockey] at Eagle Farm in Brisbane... He was an accomplished horseman who rode his first winner at sixteen years of age. In his first year [as an apprentice jockey] Pickwick rode twenty-seven winners...'
