BiographyHistory

' Ariella Van Luyn is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of New England, Armidale and adjunct lecturer at James Cook University, Townsville. She is the author of a novel, Treading Air (Affirm Press, 2016), set in 1920s North Queensland, and several short stories that engage with little-known aspects of Queensland’s past, published in magazines including Island, Southerly and Voiceworks. Her research interests include historical fiction, regional writing practices, community narratives and practice-led research.' (Queensland Review Volume 26, Special Issue 2)
