BiographyHistory

'Edward Johnson (Arranye) is a Mbantuarinya-Arrernte senior traditional landowner and ... [a] ... claimant in the Mbantuarinya Arrernte (Alice Springs) native title claim. He travelled to Darwin after World War II and helped with the construction of the Gardens Oval. He worked with horses on many Centralian stations and was number one jockey with the Hayes family at Undoolya. He picked tomatoes at Griffith and saw them marketed at the Victorian markets. He was a baker at Santa Teresa, Amoonguna and Yuendumu. He is fluent in several languages and is a sought-after speaker.'
