BiographyHistory

Kumantjayi Ross has held significant positions relevant to Indigenous issues: Chairman for the Indigenous Land Corporation, Commissioner for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission, and member of the Native Title National Indigenous Working Group. Ross spent an extensive part of his working career at the Central Lands Council (CLC) where he eventually served as Director from 1979-1994.
