BiographyHistory

'Julie Catt comes from Kansas City. The child of a young single mother, she was raised by adoptive parents. She married young, then moved to Australia with her two older children in 1994 after unexpectedly falling in love with a woman. She had a child with her partner through donor insemination, but when the relationship broke up some years later she became pregnant to a male partner and gave birth to her fourth child in 2002. Julie has a degree in psychology and has worked as a counsellor, as a journalist and as a clinical psychologist. She is a founding member of Rainbow Babies, a political, social and support group for lesbian mothers and their partners and kids.'
