Sandy O'Sullivan is one of the two sound and performance poets called ['Resonant Voices']. They are an artist working with text in the contexts of sound installation, performance and the internet. Sandy has worked as a musician, sound and lighting designer, public artist, researcher and writer. In 1995 Sandy was the coordinator of Wollongong World's Women on-line, a website created for the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women.

In 1990 they began a Creative Arts (Fine Arts) degree at the University of Wollongong and after graduating, spent two years teaching multimedia subjects. Sandy then moved to the Middle East, teaching communications technology at the Dubai Women's College for three years, before returning to Australia to teach media/arts at the University of Newcastle. While at Newcastle Sandy completed a PhD in Fine Arts, and became involved in teaching Indigenous art subjects.
