BiographyHistory

Sue Lundberg is a member of the Stolen Generations. She was taken from her mother as a child and raised in Sister Kate's Children's Cottage Home. Lundberg didn't want to work as a domestic servant or be exploited in any way so she studied to enhance her employment prospects. After a rapid rise through the Commonwealth Public Service, Lundberg became the first Aboriginal to head a State Government Department in Western Australia as Commissioner for Aboriginal Planning and served as 'Special Magistrate' in the Children's Court.
