BiographyHistory

Douglas Walker's father was an Afghan man and his mother was a Luritja (Aluritja) woman. Growing up around Oodnadatta, Walker feels that the place has hardly changed (1989). Douglas Walker also believes that moving off stations and working with the Housing society to gain property for future generations was an positive achievement of the Aboriginal people living in Oodnadatta.
