BiographyHistory

Lorraine Brown is a respected member of the Coomaditchie mob and works with the youth teaching them about their heritage through painting. Brown is a recognised visual artist, whose work is featured on murals around the Illawarra area, and her designs are used on pamphlets and booklets.

Brown was involved in local schools, painting murals and teaching children cultural knowledge. She then helped establish the Commaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation as an Aboriginal bush regeneration group and artists' collective.

Brown's father, Samuel Thomas, was from the Lake Tyers area while her mother was a Jerrinja woman.
