BiographyHistory

'Iain McDougall has written verses and articles for The Bulletin under his own name and pen-names - 'Dick Turpin', 'Inall', 'Lartuen' - and has an unusual background of journalism and executive experiences. After a spell of jackerooing near Nyngan (NSW) immediately after leaving school, he joined the Meat Commissions as a clerk; then, in 1939, at 18, he joined the Second A.I.F. and served in the Middle East.'
