BiographyHistory

Regal Records was a British record label founded in 1914 as a subsidiary of the UK branch of Columbia Records. The label became known as Regal Zonophone from 1932 after it merged with the British Zonophone label (this occurred in response to the merging of the Gramophone Company and Columbia Graphophone Company to form EMI). Regal (and Regal Zonophone) also produced and distributed sound recordings in Australia (from its offices in Sydney).
