BiographyHistory

Ruben Fernández studied medicine in Uruguay before migrating to Australia. Since his arrival in Australia, he has been involved in music, writing and journalism and has been head of the Spanish Language Program at SBS Radio in Sydney.

In 1996 he received an Australia Council for the Arts fellowship and lived for a year in Costa Rica writing his first novel (unpublished as of 2015).
