BiographyHistory

Lyn Battersby is an award-winning Perth-based writer and editor of speculative fiction. A graduate of the 2007 Clarion South Writers' Workshop her publications have appeared in such magazines and anthologies as Canterbury 2100, TiconderogaOnline, Shadowed Realms, Blackbox, Daikaiju 2: Revenge of The Giant Monsters, Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, and Borderlands.

Battersby's other awards include Best Professional Production for Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine No 11 (2005 Western Australian SF Achievement Awards); a 2006 Ditmar Award for TiconderogaOnline in 2006; and a Best Short Fiction award for 'The Memory of Breathing' (2006 Western Australian SF Achievement Awards).

The mother of five children, Battersby lives with her speculative fiction-writing husband Lee Battersby in Mandurah. In 2010 she began a Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood at Murdoch University.
