Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier Pty Ltd was a joint venture between award-winning producers Roger Simpson and Roger Le Mesurier. Founded in 1995 as a subsidiary division of Beyond International, the company produced several highly acclaimed television series - notably Halifax f.p., Good Guys, Bad Guys (q.v.), Stingers, Somethingn in the Air (a 160 episode series aired on ABC TV) and Answered by Fire (an acclaimed Candian/Australian co-production). Simpson and Le Mesurier closed down the operations in the early 200s, shortly after completing the Something in the Air seriesin 2002, citing as their reason the difficulties incurred in trying to raise 'adequate funding for quality drama in the Australian market' (Borglund, p. 2)
