BiographyHistory

Ceylan worked as an engineer in Turkey before emigrating and continuing to work as an engineer in Melbourne. He began writing poetry in 1999 and has published works defending freedom of expression in Sydney Pen Centre Quarterly, drawing inspiration from Sufi philosophy, Erich Fromm, Frantz Fanon, and Yunus Emre. His poems have been published in Other Side, Okyanus Otesi Siirler Anthology (Turkish), and Dunya: Australia's Turkish Newspaper. He also published academic articles on engineering.
