Francis King, son of
Alec King and
Catherine King (qq.v.) and grandson of
Walter Murdoch (q.v.), holds a BA (English) from the University of Western Australia and an MA degree from Cambridge University. He was appointed to the Deptartment of English, Monash University, in 1963 and retired as a Senior Lecturer in 1995.
