Typescript, compiled by Milner MacMaster for Herbert Brookes, relating to Deakin's work in the Victorian Parliament from 1880 to 1896, together with several notes by Deakin, some mentioning Sir Graham Berry, the 1894 report of the Royal Commission on Constitutional Reform and a poster relating to the Australasian Federal Referendum, 1899.'

from TGO'N: probably Joseph Milner McMaster (not MacMaster, although he published under that name) who was married in Vic in 1887. No record of birth or death. 21/3/06 Both works sighted show MACMASTER in caps. Uncertain if it should be Macmaster or MacMaster. SS 27/3/06 'I think it would be best to mark Macmaster's record as 'Male?' because Milner is one of those names which is not strictly for males. There are quite a number of records in the NSW Births, Deaths, Marriages database (and other sources) which record 'Milner' as both a male and female Christian name. So to be safe, we need the question mark. After all, we are only surmising that the actual identity is Joseph Milner McMaster. There is no guarantee!'
