  • Author's note:

    About the poem:

‘That house’ was written at a time when our house became ‘that house’, the one in the street where a family is visibly struggling. But there’s a time in everyone’s life when they occupy this troubled space and can longer pretend that everything is ‘normal’. Strangely, this can be a very liberating time, as facades are shattered and vulnerability draws us closer to those who truly care.
