AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'In a world recovering from a decade-long war against witches, 24 year-old La Roux (Roo) Urser, struggles to keep her secret DNA changing abilities secret. They’re the same as the enemy, and while she’s 95% certain she’s not an evil witch, she has no idea where her powers came from. Add a three-year probation for telling her ex to get lost – and he did, a father who abandoned her, and a sister who hates her, well, it’s hard to convince herself she matters.

'But Roo has her favourite musician Prince, her sexy songstress bff and her barmaid job at The Cauldron to keep her going. Hiding in plain sight seems to be working, until the day a mysterious witch hunter comes to town with disaster in his wake. A witch possesses the body of her sister and publicly attacks her, sending the world into chaos by revealing her secret and that the enemy is not extinct, but alive and kicking.

'An Inquisitor hell-bent on revenge, an obsessively evil witch and a game played by gods to the death. There is more than one danger to Roo’s life. She must learn to trust new friends and to master the neglected abilities she knows little of in order to save the lives of her loved ones and convince herself and the town she’s more than the sum of her witch-like powers.'
