AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A cinematographer and an actress fall in love in London, and return home to Australia, where their dreams of making their own kinds of films come up against the restrictions and limitations of the Australian film industry.

Notes

  • Often described as Tom Cowan's most autobiographical film: Cowan was a prolific cinematographer during the Australian film renaissance, but often struggled to get funding for films that he directed/wrote, despite their comparative success at film festivals and the international success of Journey Among Women.
