AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'It's been 16 years since rebel Annie was sent to live with her aunt Meg in Incabar to escape the fallout from her mother's murder trial; 16 years since she met Amish Samuel and fell hopelessly in love. Since then she's moved on, faced up to killing her stepfather, setting her mother free, and learnt to live without Samuel. She's been doing things her way. Then the police call: Meg's in a coma, her husband dead, and Annie has no choice but to return to Incabar, re-visit her past, and deal with the unfinished business that is Samuel. However, it's not only old friends she has to face, but old enemies, too. Finding herself at the wrong end of a vendetta, and with Samuel fighting his own demons, Annie begins to wish she'd never left home. Because this time it's not just her heart she risks losing, it's her life...' (Publication summary)
