'This is the story of Dharramalan the mediator spirit, the voice of Buwadjarr among the people of Gamilaraay. He was the son of Buwadjarr and Ganhabilli, the oldest Buwadjarr's five wives.'

'Buwadjarr punished the six Wandabaa spirits, Wabuwi, Wanda, Yarayawu, Bagii, Nguruma and Mardu for their disloyalty and destructiveness then hid the remains of all but Mardu, the most evil, across Gamilaraay.'
